The Gift Array

When it comes to asking people to give, we need a clear and definite answer to the question, 'What do you want me to do?' We cannot be ambiguous or unclear at this point because it is as fatal to giving as it is to capital fundraising. One of the benefits of teaching the tithe, giving 10% of income, is precisely that it offers clarity about what we should do. The gift array (or gift ladder) is designed to provide a range of giving options that enable everyone in the congregation both to respond to and to be challenged about the level of their gift.
