The Church Budget

A budget is like the operating system in a computer. It must be there and it must work well but what grabs people's attention is not the budget but the ministry it makes possible. A budget cannot simply recreate yesterday: last year but a little more expensive. We don't want tiny incremental increases on last year but generous giving to release ministry and service. This simple budget is not intended to replace focused annual budget planning. The aim is to capture the mission aims of the case and to identify the financial target that will inform the Gift Array.
