Visitor Training (follow-up)

Follow-up visiting in response to requests for information is not at all complex or something to make visitors nervous. Visits are made to people who have asked for the information. However, follow-up visiting is an important part of the programme so, to relax the visitor and give confidence, a little training is advisable.
Please be very clear that the follow-up visiting in this section is quite separate from the entirely optional home visiting.

Follow-up visiting is a personal visit to those who have requested information on their response form; about their giving response, for example information about the Parish Giving Scheme or leaving a gift in their will. This visit has two purposes. The first is to bring information that has been requested so this is not cold visiting. Second, the visit is about personal engagement because our giving response is much more than a financial transaction.
