Visitor administration

Visiting will add just a a little more administration to the Giving in Grace programme. Be encouraged; in 1 Corinthians 12:28 administration is listed as one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Good administration can help to avoid the simple mistakes that can derail the best of intentions.
The main administrative tasks relate to the preparation of the written communication - letters, brochure and response forms – and are described in the section Preparing the Literature. The additional administration of a visiting programme is straightforward. Arrange a visitor training session and have sample literature packs ready for that session. Allocate each visitor a list of names and contact details and be clear about about the final date by which visits must be made. Make sure there is a system for recording any requests made at the visit and acting upon them, for example a clergy visit. And always thank visitors when all visits are completed.
