Using Preach Exodus!

Preach Exodus! is an extensive and comprehensive resource. For each week there will be more resources provided than a church or Sunday school class can ever use. Don't try to do everything! Take time to explore the resources, identify ideas which work well for you and then work them into the pattern of worship at your church. The Exodus Introduction document offers an overview of the the way in which the theme of the gifts given to Israel is handled in Preach Exodus! It will be of particular interest to preachers, those coordinating worship and children's ministry leaders.

Finding the resources is straightforward. A single web page is allocated to each of the five weeks of Preach Exodus! and this page contains all the resources for that week. Each web page contains all the resource material for that week. The pages are numbered consecutively through all five weeks for ease of reference.

The material provided for each week of the preaching series is broken down into a number of sections for ease of access. These sections are explained further in the document Using Preach Exodus!

• Godly Play: a creative and innovative way of telling Bible stories. See the Godly Play web page.
• Action Scenes: specially commissioned pictures which retell the Exodus story; designed to be used interactively. See Using Action Scenes.
• Adult Sermon notes: the notes provide background to the passage and suggestions for key preaching points.
• Liturgical resources: opening sentences, confessions, collects intercessions and post communion prayers to complement the weekly themes in Preach Exodus!. Some are suitable for all age worship, others are more appropriate to adult services.
