Preach Exodus!

Preach Exodus! offers an extensive and comprehensive range of all age worship resources in support of a five week preaching series. Co-authored with the Church Pastoral Aid Society. Preach Exodus! offers a creative exploration of money and possessions examining the theme of the gifts given to Israel as they left Egypt after their years of captivity. The resource material is intended to be flexible enough to accommodate the varied worship needs of the parish church.

• For adult Sunday worship using Preach Exodus! access the sermon notes from the Exodus lectionary table.
• Preach Exodus! can be used to create a complete all age act of worship for adults and children together in church.
• Material is provided for separate Sunday School or junior church classes for infant and primary school age. Exploring stewardship with children requires sensitivity and children's ministry leaders will find the web page Children and Giving helpful.
• The Exodus narrative lends itself perfectly to Godly Play, an exciting and creative learning experience for children (and adults also). Jane Leadbetter, Children's Officer in the Diocese of Liverpool, has prepared five Godly Play scripts.
• Another new and creative resource within Preach Exodus! is the use of Action Scenes,specially commissioned A4 size pictures. which tell the story visually and can be used interactively to reflect on the story.
• A range of optional liturgical resource material is also provided. Opening sentences, collects, Kyries, intercessions, post communion prayers and blessings can all be accessed from the Exodus lectionary table
• Finally, an all age Harvest Service based on the Jewish Feast of Shelters is provided for use in the autumn. This can be integrated into the Exodus preaching track or used as a standalone resource by parishes following other preaching tracks.
