Godly Play
- The epistles are the wives of the apostles.
- King Solomon had 700 wives and 300 porcupines.
- A Christian should have only one wife; this is called monotony

We can no longer take it for granted that even the most popular Bible stories are known to children today. Even when the story is known how do we make the stories of the Bible come alive in a new and fresh way for our children? Developed and classroom tested for more than twenty years by Episcopal priest and teacher Jerome Berryman Godly Play is an exciting resource for children's ministry in the local church. The Exodus preaching track contains five Godly Play scripts written by Jane Leadbetter, Children’s Work Adviser in the Diocese of Liverpool. The scripts help children to engage with the Exodus story. And not only children! One of the delights of Godly Play is that it can be used by children and adults alike. For information see How to use Godly Play.
- Direct links to all the Godly Play scripts can be found in right hand sidebar on this page.
- We strongly advise that the Godly Play resources are explored via the Preach Exodus! section of the of the web site. Go to the Using Preach Exodus! for a summary of all of the Preach Exodus! resources. The Godly Play resources are found in each week of the Exodus series.
