Guidelines for Planning the Preaching

The provision of four distinct preaching tracks within Giving in Grace will help to ensure that the preaching which is at the heart of the programme will mesh with the rich variety of worship patterns and traditions found in church life. Each of the four tracks - Matthew, Luke, 2 Cor 8 and 9 and the Exodus narrative - has its own distinct style and approach. Clergy and planning group members responsible for organising the preaching series should take time to explore the preaching resources and decide which track is most suitable to the needs of the local church.

In addition to choosing the most appropriate preaching track, clergy and planning groups will need to consider a number of other issues with a bearing on the preaching series. Follow the links below for guidelines on some key questions

Those preaching within a Giving in Grace programme should reflect prayerfully on the task and their own personal response to the challenge of discipleship in this area.
