Annual Review:
Agenda for the First Meeting
- Opening prayer
- Bible study - using the Annual Review discussion paper: the parable of the sower
- Discussion on the broad aims of the Annual Review – using the Annual Review briefing paper
- Planning Group roles and responsibilities
• Prayer and preaching
• Communication and database
if some members were not part of the original Giving in Grace Planning Group, a discussion on differentiation using the discussion paper may be useful at this point.
• Leadership - Chair and lead at the PCC
• Treasurer - for the programme
• Others e.g. interaction may be part of the programme
Each member should explore the “Annual Review” section of the Giving in Grace web site in time for the next Planning Group meeting, with additional perusal of “What’s new” in the main sections appertaining to their area of responsibility.
- Establish prayer support for the Annual Review
- Introducing the Annual Review Document
• Use “Completing the Annual Review” to look at the parish Annual Review Document.
• Use the completed evaluation from the Giving in Grace programme (or previous Annual Review) along with the "Achievements and Learning" paper to complete section 1.
• Agree action to be taken before the next meeting:
The treasurer for the programme must complete the raw financial data in section 2 and access the necessary papers in time for the next meeting.
The leadership coordinator takes overall responsibility for the Annual Review.
- Review date for PCC/DCC to hold an extraordinary or dedicated meeting
to discuss the Annual Review and agree their leadership.
- Agree dates, times and venues for all Planning Group meetings, for agenda purposes.
- Go through the planning checklist.
- Closing prayer
