Agendas
For most churches, organising more meetings is pretty are low down on the list of priorities! The Annual Review is intended to be a flexible and light touch resource for churches. Planning Groups should add or subtract from the agenda outlines below and make use of the Review checklist. The Annual Review can, if needed, be linked to the preparation of a church budget.
- Assessment of the outcomes of Giving in Grace by conducting a full evaluation is strongly recommended. Careful evaluation will yield insights to inform planning and shape the approach to the Annual Review.
- Two planning group meetings work on the preparation of a provisional draft of the Annual Review Document. These meetings are prior to a meeting with the leadership team.
- The provisional Annual Review Document is presented to a meeting of the formal leadership of the church for discussion. Confirm the date of this meeting early in the planning, especially if the Annual Review is linked to the church budget.
- The third meeting reviews the draft Annual Review Document in the light of the leadership team meeting and firms up the proposals for the design of the Review Sunday activities.
- A final meeting may be held immediately after the Review Sunday to ensure that appropriate follow up is managed effectively and to undertake an initial evaluation.
