Planning Group Agenda 2: Key Tasks

The focus of this second meeting is firstly to continue to develop the case statement by reviewing the financial data. Then secondly, to discuss the key principle of differentiation, ready for discussion at the dedicated leaders meeting (PCC/DCC).

By the end of this meeting the Planning Group need to:

• have made progress in completing the initial draft of the case statement, Sections 1, 2 and 3.
• discussed the principle of differentiation and agreed working definitions of core, congregation and fringe for the communication coordinator to draft a differentiated database.
• Reviewed the communication tasks and agreed a strategy for the written literature.
• Considered the importance of prayer and made plans to underwrite the whole programme with prayer support.

For the next meeting

• The Treasurer (with assistance if needed) should include any amendments to the financial details in Section 2, the conclusions in Section 3 and prepare a gift array for Section 4 to meet the target figure, if there is a financial shortfall.
• The communication coordinator to prepare a draft differentiated database ready for discussion.
• All Planning Group members should read the documentation on preaching and interaction required for the third meeting.

The early stages of the planning process are very full! It is possible that you may need to plan an additional meeting to be ready for the presentation of the draft case statement at the dedicated PCC/DCC meeting.
