Planning Group Post Programme Meeting:
Key Tasks
By the end of this meeting the Planning Group should be confident that the follow up to the Giving in Grace programme is being carried out efficiently and sensitively, with an emphasis - as far as is humanly
possible - on personal follow up by visitors.
Even at this early stage, begin to gather information about the financial impact of the programme: the number of responses received and the total amount pledged by church members. This information must be reflected in the thank you letters that are sent out to people. Update these letters regularly as more response forms are returned.
Finally it is also both important and encouraging to begin to share an initial review of programme elements - the preaching, small groups, literature distribution and so on. What went well, what could have been done differently and what lessons have been learned? What might prove to be the priority areas for the church, in financial discipleship, once the Giving in Grace programme is completed?
This task may be started here and completed at the next and final meeting of the Planning Group, the evaluation meeting. This ensures that lessons from the programme are learned and suggests areas that are still to be addressed or developed.
