Timetable

Mark Twain wrote 'If you don’t know where you’re going you’re sure to end up somewhere else’.The agendas in this Timetable section (with printer friendly versions available) make sure you get where you want to go. They offer step by step guidance in planning and implementing a Giving in Grace programme and checklists to monitor progress.Done properly, Giving in Grace is a big task and you will need to keep a handle on a lot of things. If you do, it will be fantastically successful; if you don’t, the edges will fray and it won’t achieve its real potential. The Timetable section is divided into four phases.

  • Preparation. The focus in the preparation phase is upon securing initial leadership agreement on the need for Giving in Grace and permission to establish a Planning Group. This phase is supported by a preparation checklist.
  • Planning. The planning phase is structured by meeting agendas accessed from the drop down menu under the Timetable button. This phase is supported by a planning checklist.
  • Programme. The programme phase is launched by the start of the preaching series and will include the distribution of written communications, managing the responses, interaction elements such as house groups and particular attention paid to the follow up strategy. A programme agenda details the action to be taken and this phase is supported by a programme checklist.
  • Post programme.
When the preaching series finishes, the post programme phase focuses on the follow up strategy and an initial review of the overall programme. This phase is supported by a post programme checklist.

The Planning Group meets for a final evaluation meeting to review the programme, give thanks to God for all he has provided and look at what remains to be done. A comprehensive Evaluation Form will identify ongoing giving and stewardship issues which can be addressed through the resources in the Annual Review section.
