Step Three:

Design the Programme

The Giving in Grace programme enables you to blend core & optional resources to fit your context.

Choose one of the fully resourced preaching series as a pillar of your stewardship programme. Then, choose from the additional resources to fortify an impactful message to share with the whole church.

When preaching and teaching on generous giving we must take due care of people who are in vulnerable circumstances so to not place undue pressure on them through our words and actions, whether intentional or not, to make or increase a donation.

Exodus

This 3 week series offers creative all-age worship material from the Exodus story, including all-age services, in which money is part of the release and the journey from poverty in Egypt to the richly decorated Tent of Meeting.

Ruth

This four week series dives into the deeply sacrificial life of Ruth and her life and relationships with Naomi and Boaz. In addition to preaching and liturgy, resources include activities for children, young people and small groups.

Luke

This four week series explores generosity through four passages in Luke’s Gospel, identifying parallels between the environmental seasons and our own attitudes to giving.

2 Corinthians

This series looks at Paul's apostolic ministry, a sacrament of unity, obedience and grace, and giving as the overflow of grace.

Matthew

This 5 week series invites the preacher/s to select two, three or occasionally four passages from parables at the heart of Matthew's Gospel that reflect some of his distinctive themes.

Mark

This four week series both points us towards the real cost of following Jesus, and explores the discipleship challenge for how we act, think and feel around money.
