The Case Statement

The Case Statement is the foundational document for the programme. It summarises the mission objectives of the church, the stewardship and financial challenges, and the giving target that will both sustain and grow mission and ministry. Its preparation will gently test the church leadership commitment.
All the key information and the scope and content of the programme will largely arise out of the preparation of the Case Statement. Again, all the early work and conversation of the planning group is focused on drafting and revising the Case Statement. You need a solid foundation. Don't start designing a programme or planning to preach a sermon until you are confident of a robust Case Statement that established the facts and can capture the imagination and commitment of your leadership. A sample Case Statement is available to illustrate how a completed case might look.
